Job summary

SolutionHealth is seeking a Respiratory Care Supervisor to oversee the respiratory care team and ensure high-quality patient care across adult, pediatric, and neonatal units, including NICU, during assigned shifts.

You will lead staff, coordinate with physicians and nurses, implement protocols, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Shifts are 12 hours in a state-of-the-art facility, offering opportunities to mentor and train staff.

• Serves as point of contact for respiratory patient-care matters on shift.
• Identifies and participates in quality improvement initiatives using evidence-based practices.
• Reinforces and evaluates QI initiatives, collects data, analyzes results, ensures staff compliance.
• Leads the team during shifts and acts as admin contact when management not on site.
• Provides technical and clinical direction across adult, pediatric, neonatal, and emergency respiratory care.
• Monitors documentation of care quality and effectiveness per policies.
• Assists in orientation of new staff and students in equipment needs.
• Identifies and resolves equipment and supply issues.
• Provides leadership with staffing and workflow recommendations.
• Performs all duties required of a registered respiratory therapist at EHS.
• Performs all other related responsibilities assigned by the respiratory care leadership team.
• Reinforces productivity expectations for leadership team.
• Ensures attendance at patient rounds and follows up on patient condition updates.
• Ensures staff documentation and data collection of care quality.
• Ensures safe patient care per policies via quality audits.
• Provides feedback on staff performance.
• Supports RTPC governance and QI outcomes.
