Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Respiratory Care leader to provide shift accountability and clinical guidance across the area. You will ensure continuity of care, manage staff, and act as a respiratory care resource for the department and practitioners.

The role requires 1–3 years of leadership experience, an Associate degree in Respiratory Care (Bachelor's preferred), Indiana licensure with NBRC RRT credentials, and BLS. ACLS/PALS/NRP within 6 months; CC experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate degree in Respiratory Care; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Must have CoARC-accredited program and NBRC RRT credential.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience; leadership experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide shift accountability through leadership and technical advice.
• Maintain continuity of care with accurate shift reports and staffing.
• Act as respiratory care clinical and equipment resource for department and practitioners.
• Understand how finance and productivity impact department operations.
• Build trusting relationships with physicians and the care team.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service for patients.
