Job summary

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• Current NBRC Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential or eligibility within 3 months of hire.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC required on hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification from AHA or ARC required on hire and maintained.
• PALS certification from AHA required on hire and maintained or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
• Two years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide inhalation therapies, oxygen therapy, and aerosol medications.
• Conduct pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
• Set up, monitor, and adjust ventilators and life-support equipment.
• May participate in rapid response team; provide airway management and intubation.
• Assess respiratory status, monitor progress, and adjust treatment plans.
• Ensure all respiratory equipment is cleaned, sterilized, and maintained.
