Job summary

Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. The RRT will perform respiratory therapies, pulmonary diagnostics, and patient assessments under physician directions, with potential lead duties during shifts.

Position requires night hours and full-time commitment. Qualifications include a current state RCP license, NBRC RRT certification or eligibility, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and 2+ years of acute care experience

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from NBRC or eligible within three months of hire.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS from AHA or ARC upon hire and maintained.
• PALS from AHA certification upon hire and maintained or within 60 days of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
• Two years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatments such as inhalation therapies, oxygen therapy, and aerosol medications.
• Conduct tests like pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
• Set up, monitor, and adjust ventilators and other life-support equipment.
• May be part of a rapid response team, providing airway management and resuscitation.
• Assess respiratory status and adjust treatment plans as needed.
