Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory disorders under licensed medical direction in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include administering therapeutic respiratory care procedures, completing documentation, performing diagnostic procedures, and teaching patients and staff, with adherence to HIPAA and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program.
• Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist, or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP).
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) prior to expiration of the TPP.
• Preferred: Registered with NBRC (RRT).
• Two years' experience in pulmonary/respiratory medicine in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Administers therapeutic respiratory care procedures according to hospital policies.
• Completes required documentation to measure and ensure department effectiveness.
• Performs diagnostic respiratory procedures per policy.
• Provides instruction to patients and healthcare team members.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
