Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Reno seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our inpatient team. The RCP performs routine cardiopulmonary therapy, diagnostics, and emergency procedures while keeping equipment in working order.

Phlebotomy and basic lab testing are part of the role. Requirements include state licensure, current BLS and ACLS, Nevada blood gas licensure if applicable, and a minimum high school diploma (associate preferred).

Qualifications

• Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care.
• Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada.
• For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required, preferably an associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals and maintains all equipment in working order.
• Provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for the patient population as required or requested.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
