Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Reno is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to care for a diverse patient population in an inpatient setting. The ideal candidate has inpatient experience or a strong willingness to learn.

The RCP will perform routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures, maintain equipment, and provide phlebotomy and basic lab testing as required.

Qualifications

• Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care.
• Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada.
• For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required, preferably an associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals.
• Maintains all equipment in working order.
• Provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for the patient population.
