Job summary

Mercy Health's The Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner II to deliver respiratory care, assess patients, plan and educate, and collaborate with the care team. You will monitor responses to therapies, adjust plans, and support staff with clinical decisions.

The role includes serving as charge therapist, assisting with procedures, ventilator management, PFTs, and patient education. Mercy Health offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Respiratory Care Professional.
• Current Respiratory Care License in the state of work.
• NBRC credentialed (required).
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Driver’s license is required for Home Care/DME.
• EPIC EHR training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as shift Charge Therapist ensuring staffing adequacy.
• Assist physicians with procedures such as bronchoscopies and intubations.
• Perform CPR per AHA ACLS; monitor patient response to therapies.
• Set up and manage ventilators and airway devices for patients.
• Instruct patients and families in therapy techniques and home care.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and supplies.
