Bon Secours Mercy Health in Lorain, OH is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II to provide patient assessment, planning, intervention, and education across cardiopulmonary therapies. You will work nights and weekends in a 36-hour weekly schedule, with potential duties as Charge Therapist and preceptor.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Respiratory Care Professional (required)
• Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
• NBRC credentialed (required)
• Current Respiratory Care License (required)
• BLS/ACLS/PALS preferred; must obtain prior to direct patient care
• NRP preferred, required for Roper St Francis Healthcare
• CPFT/RPFT certifications (preferred)
• ACCS NBRC (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license (required for Home Care/DME)

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Perform respiratory therapies per physician orders and monitor patient responses.
• Set up and maintain respiratory therapy equipment and supplies.
• Explain therapies and goals to patients and caregivers; adjust treatments as needed.
• Document patient care accurately and adhere to policies and safety standards.
• Serve as a preceptor to new team members and students.
• Respond to cardiopulmonary emergencies and participate in resuscitations as needed.
