Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• CoARC-accredited program graduate.
• CRT credential from NBRC.
• RRT credential within 1 year of hire.
• Maryland Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS or PALS within 1 year where applicable.
• Less than two years of age-specific critical care experience; new grads encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered, evidence-based respiratory care by assessing patients, developing care plans and administering prescribed therapies.
• Operate and monitor respiratory equipment, including invasive and noninvasive ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP and high-flow nasal cannulas.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, participate in emergency care and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
