Job summary

Penn State Health - Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA is seeking a Manager Respiratory Care to lead and develop the Respiratory Care Department, oversee staff hiring and supervision, and contribute to budget and policy initiatives.

The role emphasizes implementing a continuing education program for staff and developing a patient education program to improve care across units including adult, pediatric and neonatal services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• PA licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
• Respiratory Therapy instructor required.
• Experience in adult critical care, pediatric and neonatal care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in department operations, management and development of the Respiratory Care Department including hiring and supervision of staff.
• Assist with development and monitoring of budget, policy and procedure.
• Develop and implement a continuing clinical education program for Respiratory Care including new employee orientation and ongoing staff education.
• Develop and manage a patient education program.
