Lamar Institute of Technology is seeking a qualified Instructor for Respiratory Care to provide clinical and didactic instruction for students enrolled in the program. Responsibilities include teaching classes, maintaining office hours, and coordinating advisory meetings.
The ideal candidate should hold an Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Care, possess a Texas state license, and have significant experience in the field. This role also involves participation in curriculum development and assessment activities.

The Instructor for Respiratory Care’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing clinical and didactic instruction for students enrolled in Respiratory Care program. This individual is also responsible for maintaining office hours; and teaching extended day classes, labs, and hybrid/online courses, as required, both on campus and at alternate locations. This individual helps coordinate and attend advisory committee meetings; attends workshops, seminars, and conferences to upgrade teaching skills; assists in the development of curriculum, as needed; and maintain program computer labs. All LIT faculty are responsible for recruitment and retention as a part of achieving the Institute’s Shared Vision of Growth and Excellence.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for most of the time; occasionally move about inside an office to access documents, office equipment, etc.; constantly operate a computer or other office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine.
