The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking a qualified Respiratory Care Clinical Adjunct Faculty to teach day classes at the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC). The role involves providing clinical education as organized by the program and supporting college resources to enhance teaching and learning.

The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor's and A.A.S. degree in Respiratory Therapy with at least three years of experience. Additional benefits include a tax-sheltered retirement savings plan and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current RRT credential and Maryland license.
• Minimum of three years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Previous clinical teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Respiratory Care Clinical Adjunct Faculty to teach day classes atthe Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC). Respiratory CareTherapist Clinical Adjunct Faculty will be expected to provideclinical education as organized by the CCBC Respiratory CareTherapist Program and cooperate with College support staff bytimely submission of materials as required by the Director ofClinical Education. Adjunct faculty is required to attenddepartment meetings, participate in professional development andutilize available college resources to best support teaching andlearning.

Campus Locations

Catonsville, MD, Dundalk, MD or Essex, MD

Adjunct Level

Adjunct Level 1 - $1,085 per credit hour.

Teaching Load

Adjunct faculty may teach up to 22 credit hours each year andusually teach no more than 11 credits each semester.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and A.A.S. degree in Respiratory Therapyrequired
• Current RRT credential and Maryland license.
• A minimum of three years of experience Respiratory Therapist isrequired and previous clinical teaching experience ispreferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Proficient computer skills

The Roth 403(b) savings feature allowsemployees to contribute after-tax dollars and then withdrawtax-free dollars from their account upon retirement. The Roth403(b) savings feature is only offered by the following vendors:TIAA-CREF and VOYA Financial Advisors, Inc. Adjunct Faculty, PartTime Associates and Full Time employees are eligible to save forretirement using the Roth 403(b) savings feature. Employees maycontribute traditional pre-tax 403(b) dollars and Roth 403(b)post-tax dollars simultaneously. The savings limits are combinedfor the Traditional 403(b) and the Roth 403(b) contributions.
• Deferred Compensation Plan — 457(b) offered through VOYAFinancial Advisors, Inc. The 457(b) salary reduction authorizationform is needed. The form is available on SharePoint Forms/HumanResources Forms.
