You will assist with diagnostic testing (oximetry, capnography, arterial puncture, pulmonary function testing), monitor CPAP/BiPAP and ventilators, and support care plan implementation in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifikationen

• Must be enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program with current participation in respiratory classes and clinical rotations.
• Must have knowledge of basic respiratory therapy procedures and documented competency validation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification due within 30 days of hire and renewed every 2 years.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Must be able to work in a high-stress clinical environment.

Aufgaben

• Performs basic respiratory therapy procedures under supervision (oxygen, aerosol therapy, hyperinflation, chest physiotherapy, suctioning, EKG).
• Performs diagnostic procedures (oximetry, capnography, arterial puncture, pulmonary function testing).
• May monitor CPAP, BiPAP, and mechanical ventilators.
• Consults with physicians and nurses to implement respiratory care plans.
• Assesses patients and adjusts care plans as needed.
