Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program with clinical rotations.
• Knowledge of basic respiratory therapy procedures and competency.
• Abuse reporting training within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire and every 2 years thereafter.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic respiratory therapy procedures under supervision.
• Assists physicians and nurses with respiratory care plans and implements orders.
• Assesses patients and adjusts care plans and equipment as needed.
• May monitor CPAP, BiPAP, and mechanical ventilators.
