Job summary

Bernalillo County is seeking an Open Space Resource Specialist to support protection and sustainable management of natural and cultural resources across county parks, open spaces, trails, and related programs. The role involves researching, developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental initiatives, and coordinating with internal departments and external agencies.

The position also entails preparing outdoor and environmental education materials for community programs and partners,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Outdoor Recreation, Natural or Earth Sciences, Environmental Education, Planning, or Natural Resource Management.
  • One year of work experience in the above fields.
  • Equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Outdoor Recreation, Natural or Earth Sciences, Environmental Education, Planning, or Natural Resource Management.
  • One (1) year of work experience in above fields.
  • Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above requirements.
