Job summary

Advocate Health in North Carolina is seeking a Resource Registered Nurse to float among Wake facilities within Zones 9 and 10. The role requires 36 hours per week in a full-time schedule with benefits eligibility.

You will engage in governance, use the nursing process, monitor patients, document in EHR, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, high-quality care across units. RN licensure in-state is required, with BLS certification and BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a board-approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license in the state(s) where services are provided.
• BLS certification; additional certifications may be required by specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care with patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and ensures accurate EHR documentation.
• May float to other units or facilities within the service area as needed.
• Demonstrates professional communication, teamwork, and adherence to ethical standards.
• Maintains required certifications and pursues ongoing professional development.
