Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network seeks an experienced registered nurse to provide comprehensive patient care across the nursing process—from assessment through discharge. You will work within a team of healthcare professionals adhering to the hospital's professional practice model and Ohio Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities include holistic assessments, care planning, education for patients and families, and participation in safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current RN license to practice in Ohio.
• Nurses hired after Jan 2010 must obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire.
• BLS certification required prior to patient contact; ACLS within 6 months for step-down/ICU; specialty certs within five years.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates nursing skills to complete holistic assessment of patient needs.
• Recognizes abnormal data and reports to physician and RN in charge.
• Communicates plan of care using SBAR and handoff processes.
• Initiates discharge planning and makes referrals.
• Provides ongoing, individualized patient and family education.
• Responds to emergencies with controlled precision.
• Maintains infection prevention by proper use of protective equipment.
