The role offers a 10% float differential and initial placement in the Medical-Surgical pool, with opportunities for cross-training into specialty departments as you grow within the role.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of start.
• Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience.
• Willingness and ability to float across multiple units at St. Vincent Hospital.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• BSN required or obtained within four years if experience < 12 months.
• BSN must be from an accredited institution and will be verified.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care across inpatient units.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Adapt quickly to different units, patient populations, and acuity levels.
• Collaborate with physicians, care managers, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Continuously monitor, document, and evaluate patient progress and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation per regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and families to promote recovery and safe transitions of care.
• Uphold professional and organizational nursing standards.
