Arizona Electric Power Cooperative, Inc. (AEPCO) seeks a Resource Planning Engineer to support AEPCO's short- and long-term power supply planning, load growth, regulatory and environmental considerations, and economic analyses.

You will perform load forecasting, production cost modeling, resource dispatch, and energy market forecasting while collaborating with leadership and cooperative members to optimize the generation portfolio and transmission rights.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics or another technical field.
• Strong understanding of the power industry and generation operations.
• Effective oral and written communication and teamwork.
• Experience with complex mathematical programming in Excel, VBA, Matlab, R Suite, or similar.
• Ability to work independently with deductive reasoning and problem solving.
• Experience in technical writing, preferably utility-related reports.
• Engineer II: Minimum of 3 years related utility experience
• Equivalents welcome: education, training or experience substitutions

Responsabilidades

• Model and analyze power supply options within AEPCO system constraints.
• Collaborate with AEPCO Energy Services to design dispatch parameters and hedging strategies.
• Develop Integrated Resource Planning filings for regulatory agencies.
• Analyze energy, generation and transmission strategies for cooperative Members.
• Support financial forecast, load forecasting, and power cost studies.
• Lead projects of strategic importance to the generation portfolio
