Job summary

You will help shape the Integrated Resource Plan, translate technical analyses into clear recommendations, and collaborate across engineering and business teams to strengthen resource planning. The role emphasizes power systems engineering, generation modeling, economics, and strategic

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in electric utility planning, generation planning, or power markets.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain complex concepts.
• Ability to lead non-routine technical analyses and grow technically over time.
• Experience with modeling software and automation of planning processes.

Responsibilities

• Support development of the Integrated Resource Plan (IRP), evaluating future generation capacity and long-term resource needs.
• Develop and apply power system and generation modeling for long-range financial forecasts and portfolio analysis.
• Provide technical and analytical support for generation investments and power supply contracts.
• Develop and improve engineering models, tools, and processes for planning decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering, power production, energy marketing, fuels, finance, and transmission teams.
