Job summary

Signature HealthCARE is seeking a detail-oriented MDS float nurse to provide resident assessments and collaborate with families. The role requires travel Monday through Friday, with overnight stays as needed, across KY, TN, IN and NC.

You will provide MDS coverage for open positions, educate and implement RAI-related programs, and ensure compliance with PPS, QM, Medicaid, and Medicare guidelines while supporting care planning and reimbursement processes.

Qualifications

• MDS experience in long-term care settings.
• Ability to perform resident assessments and liaise with families.
• Must travel Monday–Friday with overnight stays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide MDS coverage for open positions and educate/implement RAI, PPS, QM, Medicaid/Medicare guidelines.
• Collaborate with Clinical Reimbursement Specialist on onboarding of new MDSC.
• Demonstrate competency in RAI, Care Planning, PPS, Medicare and Medicaid Case Mix.

Overview

The ideal MDS float Candidate is very detailed orientated, organized, self-motivated, while still being bedside for resident assessment and meeting with families. The ability to travel Monday – Friday is a must.

How you Will make a difference

• Provide MDS coverage for open positions, educate and implement programs that apply to the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), Prospective Payment Systems (PPS), Quality Measures (QM’s), Medicaid Casemix and Medicare guidelines for all SHC stakeholders.
• Assist and collaborate with Clinical Reimbursement Specialist with onboarding of new MDSC.
• Exhibit competency in all areas of the RAI, Care Planning, PPS, Medicare, and when applicable Medicaid Case Mix

What you Need to make a Difference

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with ability to obtain multi-state licensures.
• Minimum of three (3) years MDS experience in a long-term care setting.
• Travel to centers up to 100% of the time with overnight stays as needed.
