Job summary

Signature HealthCARE is seeking a highly organized MDS float Nurse to provide resident assessments across Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana and North Carolina. This full-time travel role blends bedside care with compliance expertise in RAI, PPS and QM measures, while supporting SHC’s person-centered mission.

You must hold current RN or LPN licensure with multi-state ability, have at least three years of MDS experience in long-term care, and be willing to travel up to 100% with overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with ability to obtain multi-state licensures.
• Minimum of three (3) years MDS experience in a long-term care setting.
• Travel to centers up to 100% of the time with overnight stays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide MDS coverage for open positions, educate and implement programs that apply to the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), PPS, QM’s, Medicaid Casemix and Medicare guidelines for all SHC stakeholders.
• Assist and collaborate with Clinical Reimbursement Specialist with onboarding of new MDSC.
• Exhibit competency in all areas of the RAI, Care Planning, PPS, Medicare, and when applicable Medicaid Case Mix

Overview

The ideal MDS float Candidate is very detailed orientated, organized, self-motivated, while still being bedside for resident assessment and meeting with families. The ability to travel Monday – Friday is a must.

How You Will Make a Difference
