Job summary

Signature HealthCARE is seeking a full‑time MDS float candidate to cover open positions across multiple states. The role emphasizes detailed resident assessments, care planning, and collaboration with reimbursement teams.

The ideal candidate travels Monday through Friday with overnight stays as needed, and must have at least 3 years of MDS experience in long‑term care. Lodging and mileage are reimbursed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years MDS experience in a long-term care setting.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with ability to obtain multi-state licensures.

Responsibilities

• Provide MDS coverage for open positions, educate and implement programs that apply to the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), PPS, QM’s, Medicaid Casemix and Medicare guidelines for all SHC stakeholders.
• Assist and collaborate with Clinical Reimbursement Specialist with onboarding of new MDSC.
• Exhibit competency in all areas of the RAI, Care Planning, PPS, Medicare, and when applicable Medicaid Case Mix

Overview

The ideal MDS float Candidate is very detailed orientated, organized, self-motivated, while still being bedside for resident assessment and meeting with families. The ability to travel Monday – Friday is a must.

How You Will Make a Difference

• Provide MDS coverage for open positions, educate and implement programs that apply to the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), Prospective Payment Systems (PPS), Quality Measures (QM’s), Medicaid Casemix and Medicare guidelines for all SHC stakeholders.

• Exhibit competency in all areas of the RAI, Care Planning, PPS, Medicare, and when applicable Medicaid Case Mix

What You Need To Make a Difference

• Travel to centers up to 100% of the time with overnight stays as needed.
