Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Resource Geologist to integrate geology with geostatistics and develop fit-for-purpose resource models that influence mine decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Geology or related field required.
• 3+ years in mining geology; other related roles considered with geostatistics.
• Familiarity with NI43-101 and SK-1300 reporting codes.
• Experience in mining geology for open pit and/or underground environments.
• Proven interpretation skills for resource estimation and gold systems.

Responsibilities

• Coach, mentor, and provide technical leadership to mine geologists.
• Design and execute fit-for-purpose resource estimation workflows.
• Build, validate, and improve geological and block models with focus on value and risk.
• Integrate field observations to ground-truth interpretations and model performance.
• Review and validate resource/reserve statements, QA/QC data, mine designs, and reports.
• Prepare and present geological interpretations and resource estimates to leadership.
