Job summary

RESPEC is seeking a Senior Resource Geologist to join our Mining & Energy team, focusing on developing and validating geological models in North and South America. The role involves leading resource estimation and collaborating with cross-functional teams on mining projects from exploration to operations.

Based in Reno, NV, the candidate will mentor junior geologists, contribute to improving estimation practices, and engage in client relationships and industry conferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in geology, geostatistics, or related field.
• 3–5 years of mine geology experience in an operating environment.
• 5–7 years in resource modelling and estimation.
• 10+ years total geology experience with focus on resource work.
• Professional designation such as P.G./P.Geo. or CPG.
• Strong background in resource estimation, block modelling, and interpretation.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for business.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate geological and block models.
• Prepare mineral resource estimates in line with NI 43-101 and SK-1300.
• Collaborate with geology, mine planning, operations, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality resource models.
