Job summary

Damar Services, Richmond Indiana, is seeking a Resource Specialist to join our Support Services team at our Richmond location. You’ll help keep environments safe, support direct care staff, and assist with crisis management and behavior support for clients with DD/ID or autism.

Shifts available: 1st (6 AM–2 PM) and 2nd (2 PM–10 PM). Starting pay $16.50/hour plus experience-based adjustments; benefits include insurance, tuition assistance, retirement, and more.

Qualifications

• Must have six months of full-time experience working with behavioral challenges and/or individuals identifying with the DD/ID population.
• Be able to provide formal proof of education required for the position.
• Minimum age of 21 per licensure requirements.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements.
• Be clear of any felony convictions or disqualifying criminal convictions.
• Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Favorable background screening.

Responsibilities

• Respond to crisis situations and take leadership in de-escalation and intervention.
• Initiate precautions for high risk clients and maintain safety.
• Support residents and staff, providing guidance and crisis management as needed.
• Understand behavior support plans for high acuity clients.
