Job summary

Port Ludlow Resort is seeking a friendly server to deliver courteous, professional dining service. You will know the menu and wine list, take accurate orders, and communicate details to the kitchen. The role emphasizes guest satisfaction and alignment with the resort's mission and values.

The position is part-time with base pay of $17.13 per hour, requiring flexibility for weekends and holidays and the ability to stand for long periods. Benefits include resort discounts and staff perks.

Qualifications

• Current food handler’s permit and liquor permits or ability to obtain prior to hire.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• At least 2 years prior food service experience in a similar position.
• Capable of learning to operate the computerized cash register system.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a team and work independently.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Must be able to be on feet for long periods of time, go up and down stairs, walk, bend, reach, stoop, lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests immediately in a courteous, friendly manner.
• Describe menu and beverage items and take orders in a timely fashion.
• Serve guests quickly and efficiently, and clear each course from the table per service standards.
• Ensure presentation of check is prompt and accurate, and payment is processed and completed accurately and efficiently.
• Be knowledgeable of menu items, including drinks and specials, and provide suggestions and recommendations when needed.
• Complete side work and end of shift responsibilities.
• Leave the wait area clean and organized, and ensure the dining room is set and cleaned per policies.
• Complete check reconciliations and bank drops completely and accurately.
• Other duties as requested and assigned by your manager.
