Job summary

Sun Valley Resort is seeking a Rooms Controller to manage guest room inventory, block appropriate room types, and balance availability to maximize revenue. You will handle PBX operations, guest requests, and reservations by phone, email, and in person, ensuring accurate rates and preferences are captured in Opera.

The role requires upsell knowledge, strong guest service and communication skills, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed at a premier Idaho resort.

Qualifications

• Front desk or hospitality experience preferred.
• Experience with Opera and Passkey is preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.
• Maintain confidentiality of guest information.

Responsibilities

• Block guestrooms and balance room types to optimize revenue and availability.
• Conduct PBX operations and route guest requests to departments.
• Handle reservations by phone, email, and in person, including modifications and cancellations.
• Apply upsell techniques and package knowledge to maximize revenue.
• Input group rooming lists and audit routing and payments.
