Job summary

Azul Hospitality is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Hyatt Place South Reno. The role covers routine and preventative building maintenance across guest rooms, kitchens, laundry, HVAC, and pool areas.

You will respond to alarms, ensure safety, and work with other departments to meet guest needs. The candidate should have 3–5 years in building trades, a high school diploma, and fluency in English, with a valid driver’s license preferred for occasional vehicle operation.

Qualifications

• Must have 3–5 years of experience in general building trades.
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, and design plans of all trades.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and follow lockout/tagout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs (painting, plumbing, electrical) in guest rooms and public areas.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment (HVAC, ice machines, laundry, kitchen, pool).
• Respond to alarms and safety issues, document findings, and assist with urgent repairs.
• Maintain clean work areas and follow safety policies; assist with cross-training as needed.
• Report major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
