Job summary

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs major,minor, repairs and preventative maintenance work to ensure hotel maintenancequality standards are achieved and maintained.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following duties are representative but notall-inclusive:

• Cleanand maintain the pool area and exercise room
• Keepgrounds clear of visible trash and cleans the parking lot, sidewalks,breezeways, stairs, and entrance thoroughly, including weed removal
• Reportany problems that would interfere with guest satisfaction
• Keepthe storage area clean every day and lock all storage areas beforeclocking out
• Verifythat all exterior lights are working properly
• Reportand fix any safety hazards throughout the hotel
• Ensurethat the stockroom has sufficient inventory to last at least twoweeks
• Maintainshand and power tools and equipment and keeps in good repair;
• Assistsin the repair, maintenance, and installation of irrigation systems;
• Operatesmowing equipment and other related equipment; and drives trucks and otheressential vehicles.
• Maintainan inventory of all mechanical equipment with respective maintenanceschedules
• Performsroutine maintenance of all mechanical elements
• Troubleshoots,recommends repairs and organizes repairs of mechanical equipment
• Monitorsequipment performance and repairs or coordinates repairs as appropriate
• Maintainshand and power tools and equipment and keeps in good repair
• Operatesmechanical equipment safely
• Workcooperatively with others;
• Performminor mechanical repairs;
• Safelyoperate hand and power tools and equipment;
• Dealcourteously and tactfully with Granlibakken Homeowners, patrons, andguests;

• Powerwash/replace siding/paint buildings at Granlibakken
• Diagnosis,repair, and maintenance of resort facilities, equipment, and systems.
• Performscomplex and specialized diagnosis and repair on resort facilities andrelated equipment, and systems including pumps, motors, compressors,piping, boilers, HVAC systems, mechanical drives, air handling units,valves, filtration devices, chemical feed systems, lightingsystems/controls, and other related equipment and systems; and help withspecialized and difficult tasks associated with plumbing, carpentry,painting, electrical and mechanical projects.
• Abideby all safety regulations and procedures.
• Operationof Heavy Equipment - Occasional requirement to operate a Loader, SnowRemoval Equipment, Groomer and other equipment necessary to maintain theproperty.
• SnowRemoval - Granlibakken maintains a snow removal contract that requires allMaintenance employees to be available on snow days to help with snowremoval.
• Generally, a snow day is called whenat least 3" of snow has accumulated on the roads and pathways.
• Performgeneral maintenance functions related specifically to the upkeep of resortfacilities, systems, and equipment. Must be able to lift at least 40lb's.
• OtherDuties - Other duties as may be assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:High school diploma or equivalentpreferred

Experience:Minimum of one (1) electric andcarpenter experience preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

• Completion of a craftapprenticeship or an equivalent number of years of education andproduction maintenance experience preferred
• An AA degree in mechanical,electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred
• Strongcommunication skills required for guest and co-worked interactions
• Hospitalityexperience preferred
• Mustbe highly motivated and able to work independently

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Abilityto stand, walk, and carry equipment for extended periods of time
• Ability to walk between multiplebuildings throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50pounds

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Work is performed in bothindoor and outdoor settings as required
• Exposure to varying weatherconditions, including cold, snow, and ice during winter months
• Fast-paced hospitalityenvironment with frequent guest interaction

WORK SCHEDULE AND HOURS:

• Ability to workflexible hours
• Schedule may include mornings, evenings, weekends, andholidays
• Overtime may be required based onbusiness needs
• Work schedules are subject to changebased on operational demands

COMPENSATION:

Payrange for this position: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour, depending on experience andqualifications.

CERTIFICATIONS:

• CPR/First Responder Certification
• Completion of required workplace training, including Sexual Harassment Prevention
