Sun Outdoors in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Resort Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance, repairs, and grounds upkeep across our resort properties. You will ensure clean, safe, and inviting environments for guests and residents while supporting on-site operations and guest arrivals.

The role requires basic trade skills, the ability to work outdoors in seasonal weather, and the flexibility to respond during non-business hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months maintenance experience in campground or RV resort preferred.
• General maintenance techniques and repair work experience.
• Ability to work outdoors in seasonal temperatures.
• General janitorial, plumbing, and grounds maintenance knowledge.
• Proficient with hand tools, power equipment, and machinery.
• Ability to produce legible written reports.
• Able to work independently or in a team.
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Basic computer skills (email/internet).
• On-call availability for resort needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to units and facilities.
• Inspect irrigation, playgrounds, pools, and other amenities; make minor repairs as needed.
• Maintain grounds: mowing, mulching, trimming shrubs.
• Ensure resort cleanliness and curb appeal.
• Assist with site setups and guest arrivals/departures.
• Report maintenance issues to the manager.
• Operate tools and equipment safely.
• Supervise service contractors as needed.
