Job summary

Azul Hospitality seeks a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain the resort’s physical structure and support the Maintenance Department. This role includes painting, plumbing, electrical work, and preventative maintenance across guest rooms, pools, kitchens, and staff areas.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in general building trades, a high school diploma, English fluency, and a valid driver’s license. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and work safely in a hospitality environment.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Excellent communication and customer-relations skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and resolve issues.
  • Able to read and interpret drawings/diagrams of trades.

Responsibilities

  • Perform painting, plumbing, electrical wiring and related maintenance tasks using hand tools.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance for guest rooms, equipment, and facilities (HVAC, pool, kitchen, laundry).
  • Repair and service plumbing, Electrical systems, and various equipment; replace filters and minor repairs.
  • Respond to alarms and safety concerns; report findings and emergencies to Front Desk.
  • Maintain clean work areas; follow safety policies; adhere to lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Assist with cross-training and other duties as assigned by supervisor.
