Job summary

Granlibakken Tahoe in California is seeking a Groups Sales Manager to lead the sales and execution of all aspects of group business, including conferences, retreats, weddings, and banquets. The role encompasses relationship development, inquiries, site-visits, proposals, planning, and on-site coordination, acting as the group advocate across internal departments.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum one-year hospitality or group sales or event experience preferred.
• Excellent guest service and communication in English skills required.
• Intermediate to advanced computer and typing skills required.
• Experience: Previous guest service and group sales experience preferred, but not essential.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proactively respond to inquiries, build relationships, profile groups, confirm dates and lodging availability.
• Create contracts, obtain signatures, set deposits, and finalize Banquet Event Orders.
• Prepare diagrams, issue rooming lists or pay registrations, and collect second deposits.
• Coordinate with customer experience, facilities/venues, and other teams.
• Assist with coordination of group plans and catering, ensuring on-site delivery per plans.
• Produce program documents (room blocks, rates, orders, invoices, reports).
