Job summary

BlueStar Resort & Golf in Palm Desert is seeking a part-time Server to provide prompt and courteous service in the resort's restaurant, bar, and patio. You will work under the Food & Beverage Manager, greeting guests, taking orders, and ensuring a memorable dining experience.

The role emphasizes knowledge of the resort, guest engagement, and accuracy in transactions, with a schedule that includes evenings and weekends. Benefits support and a team-focused environment are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 months’ related server experience preferred.
• Must meet the state and federal minimum age requirement for serving alcohol.
• Current Food Handlers Card and TIPS Certification.
• Ability to understand and implement dining standards.
• Ability to perform basic math for discounts and percentages.
• Positive attitude and productive work environment.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet and serve guests in an energetic and friendly fashion.
• Provide hospitality with knowledge of the resort facilities and menu.
• Write orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff.
• Serve and clear tables following service etiquette.
• Engage with guests to ensure needs are met and service is excellent.
• Work as a team and take direction from supervisors.
• Identify safety or customer concerns and report to a supervisor.
• Check IDs to ensure legal drinking age.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• Other duties as assigned.
