Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, is seeking an Engineering Tech I to support resort operations by performing maintenance tasks, projects, preventive maintenance, and work orders.

Responsibilities include basic plumbing diagnostics, painting, caulking, wall repairs, replacing light bulbs, testing breakers, mounting TVs, and assisting with inventory and procurement to keep on-site materials available.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year hands-on maintenance experience in a resort or commercial environment.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions.
• Written and verbal English communication required.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Must pass background check, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsabilités

• Perform maintenance tasks, projects, preventive maintenance, and work orders as directed.
• Provide general support: painting, caulking, and wall repairs.
• Conduct basic plumbing diagnostics on toilets, bathtubs, showers, and fixtures.
• Reset breakers, replace bulbs, and measure voltage with proper tools.
• Install or replace TVs and program remote controls and other devices.
• Diagnose appliances and assist with component replacement.
• Assist with procurement and inventory to ensure on-site materials.
• Operate resort devices/software (HotSOS and others) effectively.
• Communicate professionally via radios, phones, emails, and in person.
• Follow safety guidelines and identify potential hazards.
• Represent Westgate Resorts professionally in appearance and behavior.
