Job summary

Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa in Orlando is actively seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and manage the Engineering/Facilities Maintenance department, ensuring smooth operation, guest satisfaction, and continuous improvement initiatives.

As a hands-on leader, you will mentor the maintenance team, oversee budgets and capital projects, enforce safety protocols, read blueprints, coordinate with vendors, and drive reliable, safe, and efficient resort facilities for guests from around the world.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with building systems and blueprints.
• Strong leadership and communication in a resort or commercial setting.
• Ability to read technical manuals and perform inspections.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Engineering/Facilities Maintenance department for smooth operation.
• Oversee budgets, capital reservations, and expense forecasting.
• Develop maintenance programs and schedules to improve efficiency.
• Manage major capital projects from concept to completion within budget and timeline.
• Inspect facilities, address safety issues, and coordinate vendors/contractors.
• Procure tools/materials and ensure inventory control; mentor staff.
• Read blueprints, interpret technical data, and ensure compliance with policies.
