Job summary

Kona Kai San Diego Resort is seeking a proactive Hotel Maintenance Supervisor to lead the engineering team, oversee daily operations, and manage work orders for a boutique island‑style resort on Shelter Island. You will diagnose and repair building systems, supervise preventive maintenance, and ensure safety across guest areas.

Preferred candidates bring HVAC and refrigeration experience, EPA 608 certification, and prior hotel or resort supervisory background.

Qualifications

• Experience in general building maintenance, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Open availability, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Engineering team members and daily operations.
• Manage work orders and preventive maintenance programs.
• Diagnose and repair building, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain inventory of parts, tools, and supplies.
• Conduct safety inspections and support special projects.
