Job summary

Clear Destination Inc. is seeking an Assistant Director of Engineering to lead the engineering staff and oversee day-to-day operations for resort maintenance, field maintenance, and related crews.

This role reports to the Director of Engineering and ensures rapid, high-quality service to guests, residents, members, and departmental areas. Responsibilities include managing workloads, budgeting, safety, vendor negotiations, and ensuring compliance with OSHA/MIOSHA regulations while maintaining

Qualifications

• Must have associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a technical field or 4 years of direct experience in institutional maintenance (hospitality preferred).
• Must have 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge in HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Controls, etc.
• Knowledge of facility management including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, preventative maintenance, kitchen equipment, boilers, roofing, and other commercial building systems.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license and insurable through GTRS insurance policy.
• Experience with computer work order systems and Microsoft operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage day-to-day workload of direct reports with a focus on guest service and maintenance.
• Maintain department ledger, expenses, coordinate billing, setup and services.
• Install, operate, or maintain equipment, systems, or processes to service guests and employees.
• Ensure compliance with MIOSHA, DEQ and Health Department regulations.
• Oversee safety and quality standards, preventative maintenance, work orders, and inventory control.
• Lead by example and ensure employees uphold safety and operational standards.
