Job summary

Jay Peak Resort in Vermont is seeking a Building Maintenance Tech 1 to support maintenance and repair of resort buildings and grounds. You will perform preventative maintenance, assist senior staff, and help with plumbing, refrigeration, and general building tasks.

The role requires basic reading/writing, simple math, and the ability to follow instructions. A valid driver’s license and eligibility for the resort’s insurance program are required, with some lifting and outdoor work involved.

Qualifications

• Ability to read simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Basic math for rates, ratios and percentages.
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions with some guidance.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and eligibility for resort vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on building systems as directed.
• Assist senior technicians with repairs and replacements as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of indoor spaces and outdoor areas as required.
• Assist in plumbing, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment tasks.
• Keep logs of tasks performed and maintenance calls.
• Support other departments and move supplies as needed.
