Job summary

Jay Peak Inc. is seeking a Hotel Maintenance HVAC Tech apprentice for a full-time, year-round role in Jay, VT. You will assist in safe installation and maintenance of commercial plumbing and HVAC systems, and help troubleshoot multi-zone heating and cooling, with opportunities to gain LP, Refrigeration and HVAC certifications.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and is willing to learn and obtain required certifications. Strong safety mindset and basic math skills are important.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience.
• Must be able to read safety rules and operating instructions.
• Must be willing to obtain LP, Refrigeration and HVAC certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in safe installation and maintenance of commercial plumbing and HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC systems including multi‑zone cooling.
• Identify maintenance risks and diagnose electrical/mechanical faults.
• Perform emergency repairs promptly and support preventive maintenance.
• Maintain familiarity with Building Management Systems and safety practices.
