Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Principal Technologist - Resiliency & Availability to lead enterprise resiliency, recovery, and data protection capabilities.

You will partner with architects, engineers, and business teams to ensure reliability, recoverability, and operational readiness across server, cloud, mainframe, and storage domains. You will influence roadmaps, develop executive communications, and support audits and regulatory reviews while maintaining an enterprise-wide view of resiliency and

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in infrastructure technology, architecture, engineering, platform services, resiliency, availability, cyber recovery, data protection.
• Experience developing executive communications, strategy documents, and business cases.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills for technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Ability to influence roadmaps and outcomes without direct authority.
• Experience supporting audits, regulatory programs, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of resiliency, availability, cyber recovery, disaster recovery, and data protection capabilities across Infrastructure Technology.
• Assess capability maturity and identify opportunities to improve resilience and operational readiness.
• Drive adoption of best-in-class resiliency and availability capabilities.
• Partner with architects, engineers, technology leaders, and application teams to evolve capabilities.
• Identify gaps, emerging risks, and improvement opportunities across infrastructure domains.
• Develop executive strategy documents, business cases, and capability guides.
• Translate complex technical capabilities into clear content for executive, business, audit, risk, and regulatory audiences.
• Collaborate with Corporate Risk, Audit Services, and regulatory organizations for reviews and oversight.
