Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a Resiliency Engineer to design and evolve our infrastructure resiliency capability across backup, DR orchestration, and cyber-resilient architecture.

You will define standards, lead technology selections, and own the roadmap to ensure recovery is built in from the start. This role requires hands-on architectural expertise across multiple platforms and clouds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in enterprise infrastructure, data protection, or disaster recovery.
• Experience designing or contributing to backup, DR platform architecture.
• Strong command of backup/recovery architectures and cloud recovery design.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end architecture for resiliency platform portfolio across backup, DR orchestration, and cyber-resilient infrastructure.
• Define and maintain design standards, reference architectures, and integration patterns.
• Own the Infrastructure Resiliency roadmap and refresh it annually.
• Lead platform technology selection, proofs of concept, and vendor assessments.
• Design target-state recovery architecture and evolve with growth in footprint and cloud estate.
• Own capacity planning for storage, compute, and licensing needs.
• Establish integration and architecture-review standards for new systems entering resiliency scope.
• Collaborate with InfraOps, enterprise architecture, and CISO on recovery topology and cyber-resilient design.
