Bethany Residential Services is seeking a Residential Youth Specialist for the 2nd shift in Grand Rapids, MI. The role supports youth in a faith-based, residential setting with emphasis on safety, growth, and positive interaction.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays while adhering to program guidelines and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Reliability with time-sensitive deadlines and tasks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and retain knowledge of the sexual offender treatment program and implement components on the job.
• Actively participate in activities and encourage positive interaction among residents.
• Attend bi-monthly meetings with supervisor to discuss performance and issues.
• Follow treatment guidelines and intervene with care and consistency.
• Oversee residents’ daily routines including meals, study time, and activities.
• Serve as a residential advocate by sharing social history at staff meetings.
