Job summary

Wedgwood Christian Services in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a 3rd Shift Youth Treatment Specialist (Part-Time) to provide overnight care within our residential behavioral health program for adolescent boys.

You will conduct bed checks, document observations, maintain a calm environment, support growth, administer medications as assigned, and coordinate with medical staff. Must be 20+, HS diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and align with our faith-based values.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical interventions when needed.
• Align with Wedgwood’s faith-based values and mission.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine bed checks (at least every 15 minutes) to ensure resident safety.
• Accurately document bed checks, observations, and resident behaviors.
• Maintain a calm, structured, therapeutic overnight environment.
• Serve as consistent, positive role model and build supportive relationships.
• Utilize verbal de-escalation and crisis intervention when necessary.
• Support youth in developing social, emotional, and daily living skills.
• Assist with basic household tasks and light meal prep.
• Administer medications as assigned and coordinate with medical staff.
