Job summary

Bethany Christian Services USA LLC is seeking a Part-Time Residential Youth Specialist for the 3rd shift (11PM-7AM or 12AM-8AM) in Grand Rapids, MI. You will work with refugee and immigrant children, support family reunification, and provide a stable home-like environment while following established treatment guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least one year of child welfare experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of child welfare experience working with children/adolescents.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong customer service and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents during activities and encourage positive interactions.
• Follow treatment guidelines and participate in meetings with supervisors.
• Respond to incidents using CPI procedures when necessary and monitor daily routines.
• Serve as a residential advocate with attention to histories and goals.
• Maintain flexible schedule including night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
