Job summary

Vermont Permanency Initiative seeks Residential Counselors in Bennington, VT to provide supervision, support, and mentorship in a therapeutic setting.

Full-time positions offer a 4-day workweek, competitive pay between $18.50 and $21 per hour, and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED (college preferred).
• Experience working with youth or relevant Human Services coursework.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Driver's license preferred.
• CPR preferred.
• Ability to pass background and pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision, structure, and positive role modeling.
• Support youth in building life skills, communication, and emotional regulation.
• Assist with daily routines, behavioral support, and crisis intervention.
• Engage youth in recreational, educational, and social activities.

Vermont Permanency Initiative (VPI) is hiring Residential Counselors for our Bennington, VT program to provide support and mentorship to youth in a therapeutic residential environment.

Full-Time Schedules Available:

Front Half (Sun-Wed):

• Sunday: 9 AM-11 PM
• Monday: 1 PM-11 PM
• Tuesday: 3 PM-11 PM
• Wednesday: 3 PM-11 PM

Back Half (Wed-Sat):

• Wednesday: 3 PM-11 PM
• Thursday: 1 PM-11 PM
• Friday: 3 PM-11 PM
• Saturday: 9 AM-11 PM

What You'll Do:
