Job summary

InReach in Hickory, NC is seeking caring part-time staff for Residential Weekend IDD Care - Overnights. You will support adults with I/DD in a residential home, including meals, personal care, activities, and documentation. A valid driver's license and ability to drive a van are required.

The shift runs Fri-Sun with overnight sleep stay noted but not paid. Rate is $16.00 per hour. Training is provided; meals are complimentary while on duty.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be 21 years or older and hold a valid driver's license.
• Prior group home experience preferred or related I/DD experience.
• Willingness to drive a full-size passenger van.

Responsibilities

• Teach and assist with meal planning and cooking.
• Instruct and assist with household cleaning, personal care & hygiene.
• Provide community recreational activities when available.
• Provide and participate in in-home leisure activities.
• Documentation of activities.
• Help residents develop healthy social habits.
• Dispense medication and monitor dosages.

What we need:

Friendly and caring individuals who work with adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) living in a residential home setting in Hickory, NC.

What You'll Do:

• Teach and assist with meal planning and cooking.
• Instruct and assist with household cleaning, personal care & hygiene.
• Provide community recreational activities when available.

• At least 21 years old; prior group home experience preferred.
• At least 6 months of previous experience (paid or volunteer) working with the I/DD population or experience relevant to the role; must be verifiable.
• A valid Driver's license
• A High School Diploma or GED

Job Type: Part-time

Hours: 30+ hours over the weekend (Fri-Sun)

Rate: $16.00 per hour (Earn over $500 per weekend)

Schedule: Friday 6pm - Sunday 6:30pm (every other weekend; overnight sleep stay Friday & Saturday is required)

*This position does not include pay for time spent sleeping during a shift.
