Job summary

InReach in Charlotte, NC, seeks friendly, caring staff to support adults with I/DD in a residential home setting. You'll help with meals, cleaning and personal care, and join in community activities to enhance quality of life.

This part-time role covers weekend hours and involves documentation, driving a van when needed, and teamwork with a supportive staff. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Willingness to help others.
• At least 6 months of experience with the I/DD population or relevant role, verifiable.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be at least 21 years old; group home experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach and assist with meal planning and cooking.
• Instruct and assist with household cleaning, personal care & hygiene.
• Provide community recreational activities when available.
• Provide and participate in in-home leisure activities.
• Documentation of activities.
• Dispense medication and monitor dosages.
• Must be willing to drive a full-size passenger van.

What we need:

Friendly and caring individuals who work with adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) living in a residential home setting in Charlotte, NC.

What You'll Do:

• Teach and assist with meal planning and cooking.

Job Type: Part-time

Hours: 30+ hours over the weekend (Fri-Sun)

Schedule: Friday 6pm-11pm; Saturday 7am-11pm; Sunday 7am-6:30pm (every other weekend; overnight sleep stay Friday & Saturday is required)

*This position does not include pay for time spent sleeping during a shift.
