Job summary

InReach is hiring in Charlotte, NC to support adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in a residential home setting. The role is part-time with 30+ hours over Fri–Sun, schedule Fri 6pm–Sun 6:30pm (every other weekend); overnight sleep stay Fri & Sat are required.

Must be ASL-proficient, 21+, and have a valid driver’s license. Responsibilities include meal planning, cooking, cleaning, personal care, documenting activities, and coordinating in-home leisure and community activities.

Qualifications

• Basic American Sign Language (ASL)
• At least 6 months of experience (paid or volunteer) with the I/DD population or relevant experience
• Must be at least 21 years old; prior group home experience preferred
• A valid Driver's license
• A High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Teach and assist with meal planning and cooking.
• Instruct and assist with household cleaning, personal care & hygiene.
• Provide community recreational activities when available.
• Provide and participate in in-home leisure activities.
• Documentation of activities.
• Dispense medication and monitor dosages.

Friendly and caring individuals who work with adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) living in a residential home setting in Charlotte, NC.

What You'll Do:

• Must be willing to drive a full-size passenger van.
